credit where credit's due I've been listening to those tracks you've selected the other day, over and over, marvelous stuff.
Thanks;I've got my iPod filled with old soul tunes at the moment - it's only a 2 gig nano so I have to be selective; but still that's over 500 tunes...those ones standout for me. Especially the Don Thomas and Ginger Thompson; those have been big faves for a long time. Not just on my soul side, but over everything!
The Lou Pride one I'm listening to most. It's got a slight lazy, dark tinge that appeals.
I like the jazzy brass on that one; it's not typical Northern; it's verging on the weird...
