1990s

An album from the past couple of years that I keep finding myself listening to, usually very loudly is the debut album 'Cookies' by 1990s. I'm a sucker for glam punk pop with loud shiny sharp guitars. And this is loud, shiny and sharp and wasted around the edges, albeit with a tongue firmly in cheek. If you like your Clash and Pistols, Ziggy Stardust and New York Dolls then you'll probably like this.

Enjoying Myself
You're Supposed To Be My Friend
Pollokshields

Simply thrilling. Honey.

I live in Pollokshields (note the proper spelling!!) and its become a wee bit of a theme tune with all sorts of local references.

Sorry, braindrain earlier! Spelling corrected; it's my particular favourite off the album; it was the first tune I heard that made me go out and buy it.

Why have I never heard of this lot - It's right up my glitter alley? Speaking of which have you checked out The Exploding Hearts mate of mine's a big Clash fan and loves them.

And if you like 1990s you'll love The Wolfmen

Is that your cat?

Simon said...

Not mine. Just an alley cat prowling for some good sounds.

And what's with the word verifications lately? They're almost readable words. Pyranic.

I like him. I will hug him and squeeze him and call him George and he will be my friend.

WF = kinest. Oh yes!

Lol.

My mum's cat is called George. Looks like that only in reverse with mostly white.

I think they should do seasonal word verification - today's should be Halloween themed, if google can do it with their banners why not blogger?

Facebook WV is the worst - two random words plnoked together - who came up with that one William Burroughs?

WV=depolut by the way

Believe it or not, the version loaded on my iTunes from my cd has the proper spelling! So there was no excuse for me!!!
