Goodbye Lucille #1 - Prefab Sprout

"Life's not complete till your heart's missed a beat"

That pause as the track misses a beat: marvellous.

Beautiful. Evocative. Heartbroken and heartbreaking.

Somewhere there's a world where Paddy McAloon was bigger than The Beatles.

He was absolutely underrated, that's for certain. The remastered version of Steve McQuenn was brilliant, and the updated acoustic versions were superb! Jordan The Comeback was almost (almost, not quite) as good. He needs to get together with Thomas Dolby again and put out a new one!

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. That moment, that split second, is one of my very very very favourite moments in music, in culture, in ... just in. Yes.
